WELCOME to the City of Von Ormy's website. Von Ormy is one of the newest cities in Texas, and is a growing, vibrant city located in the heart of South Texas. Von Ormy was established in Colonial times as a stop along the Camino Real and was known then as Paso de las Garzas. We are named for Prussian Count Norbert Von Ormay who moved his court to our community in the 1880's. Today, Von Ormy is seeing a period of rapid growth. Come visit us!
The City of Von Ormy has placed a moratorium on all new construction including billboards and signs, pending the completion of the city's zoning plan.
CITY COUNCIL MEETINGS:
The City of Von Ormy City Council meets at the Parish Hall of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 13466 IH 35 S, Von Ormy, Texas on the 1st Wendsday of each month at 7:00PM.
CITY COMMITTEE MEETINGS
The City of Von Ormy Master Plan Committee meets on the 2nd Wednesday of the Month, at the Conference Room of North Park Toyota San Antonio I-35-S and Loop 410 at 7pm.
The City of Von Ormy Emergency Services Committee meets on the 3rd Wednesday of the month at the Conference Room of Texas Community Bank in Somerset, TX. at 7PM.

- Monday March 15th, 7PM at the Mi Manchita Cafe, (I-35 Access Rd). neighborhood area is , Benton City Rd., Torres Lane. & Von Ormy Rd.
- Monday April 19th 7PM at the Mi Manchita Cafe, (I-35 Access Rd.) neighborhood area is Ridge Crest Trailer Park. and I-35 south
These meetings are for the residents to voice their opinions, concerns or anything that you wish to speak of.
